2022 chevy equinox rs white8/19/2023 Both front- and rear-seat passengers should find themselves comfortable in the spacious interior, with enough amenities to keep them content on longer trips. The Equinox's cabin is nicely styled and put together from durable materials. For more information about the Equinox's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. The front-drive Equinox we tested on our 75-mph fuel-economy route returned 32 mpg. Adding all-wheel drive reduces ratings by 2 and 1 mpg, respectively. The EPA estimates that the front-wheel-drive Equinox will earn 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Tested: 2023 Chevy Equinox Makes Do with Leftovers. The Chevy can also tow up to 3500 pounds. The ride can be harsh at times, particularly with the optional 19-inch wheels (17s are standard), and rougher stretches of road transmit some unpleasantness into the cabin. Agreeable and easy to drive, the Equinox handles competently, and its steering is accurate and direct. At our test track, our most recent Equinox test vehicle, an RS trim with all-wheel drive, needed 8.0 seconds to reach 60 mph. The six-speed automatic shifts seamlessly, though it's reluctant to downshift when extra power is needed as it's geared toward fuel economy. The engine makes 175 horsepower, and when paired with the optional (and heavier) all-wheel-drive system (front-wheel drive is standard), it takes a heavy foot to hustle the Equinox up to highway speeds. Underpowered and frequently out of breath, the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder won't win any fans with its sluggish performance, and it's the sole offering for the Equinox. You can get similar content in an LT by adding the Confidence and Convenience packages, but we prefer the darkened trim of the RS and think it justifies the price difference between the two. Its standard features include blind-spot monitoring, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power liftgate, rear cross-traffic alert, and remote start. Of course, that's still not enough to make the Equinox a contender in this hotly contested class, but folks who want an SUV with a bow-tie badge should have no problem finding one at a fair price.Īlthough the Equinox lineup includes a value-packed base LS model as well as the Premier–which sits at the top of the pecking order–we'd opt for the mid-grade RS. The interior design and materials aren't inspiring, but it has plenty of passenger space and desirable infotainment features. Despite pokey acceleration, the Equinox drives and rides quite well compared with its peers. Keep in mind the 2024 Chevy Equinox is starting to show its age and offers only an underpowered 175-hp turbo four with an unremarkable automatic transmission and an unintuitive optional all-wheel-drive system. Meanwhile, segment leaders such as the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-50 can cost upwards of $40K. No, the Equinox's popularity has more to do with its availability and affordable pricing, with a fully loaded version starting at just over $33K. With the competition from the likes of the Ford Escape, Subaru Forester, and Honda CR-V, here are 10 things you need to know before buying the 2022 Chevrolet Equinoxââââ.There's a reason the Equinox is the best-selling Chevrolet nameplate behind the Silverado pickup truck-but it's not because the compact SUV is especially compelling. The more powerful 2-liter turbocharged inline-4 motor is not available anymore, either. With the arrival of the third generation of Equinox, which was launched back in 2018, Chevrolet managed to make it even better by providing an updated interior and exterior design, refined powertrains, superb build quality, and many more.Being part of this third-generation series, the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox continues the ethos very well, while coming with a slightly tweaked front and rear-end design, a new RS trim, and a long list of interior features and design updates. The Chevrolet Equinox has always been known for the impressive interior space, decent list of tech and features, and for offering a comfortable traveling experience, all of which made it one of the best-selling models in the compact SUV segment.

Venture seas lets play8/19/2023 We’re sitting in a growth region with markedly different needs, and Singapore is a great proving ground to incubate new ventures. We believe we have fertile ground with all our large local enterprises and multinational corporations, which gives us corporate advantages. This is the next frontier, where corporates are building new businesses and taking entrepreneurial risks to grow new global champions here. So, in many ways, Singapore is first, and we are hoping to pave the way, because it’s really about driving the next wave of growth in our innovation-led economy, where we’ve been sinking a lot of dollars into R&D innovation.īut we’re also hoping that new business creation by the pool of corporates we have here in Singapore can be a new growth driver taking us forward. Many governments promote innovation, Singapore included, but not all are actively promoting what we call corporate ventures. How is this different?Īlvin Cai: Yes, that’s right. But this is one of the first ones I heard of for corporates aiming to launch start-ups. When I moved to Singapore about 11 years ago, there were many different productivity-improvement grants for small businesses and venture-backed start-ups. And to accomplish that, we have appointed four experienced venture studios to help support corporates on the journey.Īndrew Roth: It’s quite a unique program. It’s a S$10 million program with enhanced support to help businesses new to corporate venture building incubate and launch new ventures here in Singapore within a six-month period, from ideation to market validation. We also just launched the Corporate Venture Launchpad. We offer various types of support for our portfolio companies, including venture building, co-investments, added value creation, and various community-building efforts to get all of the corporates and ventures here interacting and partnering with each other. To be successful, we need to build new businesses that stand apart from the corporate mothership, agile and running autonomously but able to tap the corporate parents’ advantages to scale. It was set up about two years ago as the EDB’s corporate venture-building arm to help corporates grow new businesses and catalyze greater growth here in Singapore.Īt New Ventures, we believe that corporate venturing should be a tool in every corporate’s innovation and growth toolbox. First of all, for those in our audience who may not be familiar, can you quickly introduce the New Ventures group and the recent announcement of the Corporate Venture Launchpad?Īlvin Cai: The EDB is the economic-planning and industry-development body of Singapore, and within the EDB is the New Ventures group that I’m with, which is relatively new. At the end of the conversation, Yishan Lam and I discuss the key role that Alvin and the CV Launchpad are playing in Singapore pioneering the space to support corporate venture building, which can be applied for creating long-term growth and successful ventures in the market. We also discuss how the EDB is helping businesses kick-start new ventures-from ideation to market validation-in six months. You’ll hear Alvin tell us about his group’s new Corporate Venture (CV) Launchpad, a S$10 million pilot program designed to help corporates build Singapore-based start-ups by partnering with established venture studios, and why he believes success depends on agility and autonomy from the mothership. In this episode, we talk with Alvin Cai, vice president of New Ventures, the corporate business-building arm of Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB). In each episode, we cut through the noise to bring practical advice on how leaders can build successful businesses from scratch. For more conversations on venture building, subscribe to the series on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.Īndrew Roth: From Leap by McKinsey, our business-building practice, I’m Andrew Roth, and welcome to The Venture, a series featuring conversations with legendary venture builders in Asia about how to design, launch, and scale new businesses. At the close of the interview, McKinsey’s Yishan Lam offers her insights.Īn edited transcript of the podcast follows. Cai talks with McKinsey’s Andrew Roth about his group’s new Corporate Venture Launchpad, a S$10 million pilot program designed to help corporates build Singapore-based start-ups by partnering with established venture studios, and why he believes success depends on agility and autonomy from the mothership. In this episode of The Venture, we share a conversation with Alvin Cai, vice president of New Ventures, the corporate business-building arm of Singapore’s Economic Development Board. Piezo wave for knees8/19/2023 Chronic back pain – relief of muscle pain due to spondylosis deformans, chronic intravertebral disk disease, and lumbosacral instability.Osteoarthritis of the shoulder, hip, back, elbow, knee, wrist, and ankle.Conditions likely to benefit from this treatment include: Good results have been reported for treatment of various orthopedic conditions in dogs, but the number of controlled clinical studies is still very limited. Clinical trials demonstrate that ESWT is effective in treating musculoskeletal disorders that include bone spavin, stress fractures, navicular syndrome, bowed tendon, bucked shin, arthritic joints, and more.Įxperimental treatment of dogs using ESWT began in 1999, and several of the schools listed above have been actively involved in this research. It has also been studied extensively in Europe, where it originated. The use of ESWT for horses has been evaluated at a number of veterinary schools, including Iowa State University, the University of Tennessee, Purdue University, the University of Wisconsin, Colorado State University, and the University of California at Davis. History of Shock Wave Therapy in Veterinary Useīy the late 1990s, veterinarians began exploring the use of ESWT on horses to speed healing of broken bones (including those that failed to heal normally), treat tendon and ligament injuries, and ease the pain of arthritis. New research is being done on the use of shock wave therapy to speed healing of wounds and burns, and other applications are under investigation. In 1992, doctors began using shock waves to treat a range of orthopedic conditions, including nonunion of bone fractures plantar fasciitis (a cause of heel pain) tennis elbow and other forms of tendonitis rotator cuff injuries femoral head necrosis and joint pain. In human medicine, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) been used for over 25 years to break up kidney stones and gallstones (lithotripsy) without the need for invasive surgery (“extracorporeal” means “outside the body”). They are actually high-energy focused sound waves generated outside the body that can be focused at a specific site within the body. Shock waves have nothing to do with electric shocks. But I was surprised and immensely intrigued by what I found. Shock wave therapy? Is that like what they did to the Bride of Frankenstein? I had never heard of such a thing, and I was skeptical, to say the least, thinking it might be some new gimmick. Charles Schenck, who is a past president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.” Last June, I received this note from Debbie Efron, of Manalapan, New Jersey: “Do you know anything about shock wave therapy for dogs with arthritis? I am considering this treatment for Taylor, my almost 13-year-old Labrador Retriever, who has arthritis in her hips, spinal column, and right hock, and has just torn a ligament in her right knee. Izip e3 dash manual8/19/2023 The battery has a battery mount attached to lugs in the aluminum frame, and a key-latching system locks it in or, conversely, allows it to be removed for security, or to carry it inside for off-bike charging (there is a port for on-bike charging). As far as the “E” part of the bike goes, the size of the rear hub and the lithium-ion 48-volt battery case are the main visual clues. We love quiet, and most riders feel the power is all the more impressive when the drive is silent. A quality geared hub motor may only have a tiny gear whine, but it will be audible. The alloy case may look the same externally, but inside the case is a smaller motor that drives planetary gears to multiply the torque of the motor.Ī direct-drive hub is simple with less parts to wear out, usually virtually silent and is generally cheaper to make. The entire hub is the motor, and one revolution of the motor equals one rotation of the wheel. The key mechanical difference between the two is the hub motor. Currie builds bikes with what it calls “torque” or “speed” settings. What is this bike really for? How does it work? Why did they call it a Dash? Those are good questions, and the same ones we asked.Ĭurrie Technologies has a great deal of experience designing e-bikes and programming controllers, and it truly shows on the Dash. We suspect that you have questions as well. That led to inevitable questions about the Dash. Upon exiting a building after a taco run, a fellow budget Mexican food aficionado wanted to know if the contraption on the downtube was a toolbox. For anyone in the market for an e-bike today, a new trend has swept through the industry-e‑bikes that look like, well, a bicycle. Despicable me minion girls8/19/2023 Gru disguises himself as a dentist and adopts the girls from Miss Hattie's Home for Girls, planning on using them to infiltrate Vector's base so he can get the shrink ray back. However, he notices three orphan girls, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, who are able to easily walk into the base because they are selling cookies. Gru attempts to break into Vector's fortress to get the shrink ray back, but is defeated by numerous booby traps. Gru and his Minions steal the shrink ray from a secret base in East Asia, but the up-and-coming supervillain, Vector, who was also responsible for the Pyramid theft, immediately steals it from Gru, as revenge for freezing his head earlier at the Bank of Evil. Perkins is impressed by the plan, but will only provide the money if Gru can obtain the necessary shrink ray first. The plan is expensive and Gru seeks a loan from the Bank of Evil, where the president Mr. Nefario, by shrinking and stealing the Moon, an idea based on his childhood dream of being an astronaut, which was always disparaged by his mother Marlena. The film earned positive reviews from critics, and grossed over $543 million worldwide, against a budget of $69 million. When Gru learns of Vector's heist, he plans an even greater heist: to shrink and steal the Earth's moon. The film stars the voice of Steve Carell as Felonious Gru, a supervillain who adopts three girls (voiced by Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, and Elsie Fisher) from an orphanage and the voice of Jason Segel as Vector, a rival of Gru who steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. Dungeon rampage hack games8/19/2023 This is normally resolved by resetting the game, but this could be considered an inconvenience for the majority of players. In the meantime, some fans are trying to make a Dungeon Rampage remake, but for obvious copyright reasons, they cannot do it without changing the game’s name and re-drawing all assets from the ground up (or keeping the relaunch private). The hack can’t pe duplicated on a bunch of other net websites. Players deserve a bit more respect and return on investment than what they currently get throughout the online gaming industry.ĭungeon Rampage is one of those games which should be released as open-source and allowed to be hosted independently for people to continue playing at their own (hosting) cost, if no official relaunch is carried out. It is always a little sad and unfair for players to see one of their favorite games disappear virtually overnight after pouring so much play time and possibly money into creating and upgrading their game character(s) while keeping the game world alive (and profitable). Hopefully this clarifies the situation and answers your questions.” – Dungeon Rampage Community Manager Private RebootĪs of 2020, a lot of people are still looking for Dungeon Rampage on a daily basis around the world. If we can’t make the necessary profit from the game then we wouldn’t be able to pay our developers, so we had to shutdown the game, and we are not alone who did that. We started seeing a decline in the revenue, and it was getting worse by the day. Facebook games are very vulnerable for hacks, cheats and exploits, this caused us to make a decision about the game, 4 years ago, the exploit spread way too much and there’s no way it can be patched, unless Facebook re-build their code from the ground up, but this would make every game on Facebook unusable. “To justify for why we shutdown the game the problem is within Facebook Game Development itself. *This is a message posted by the Dungeon Rampage developers on May 11, 2019, explaining why they allegedly had to shut the game down: High action and unique gameplay made Dungeon Rampage an excellent game. The game was available through Facebook, Dungeon Rampage’s main website and Kongregate. Players could unlock and play different characters in Diablo-style combat, utilize powerful weapons, and enable various character skins for increased customization. Z peugeot cycling team8/19/2023 There are no ‘what ifs’ from Timmis, he accepts the mistakes he made but it’s hard not to think that with the kind of management that’s available nowadays he could have gone so much further. From 1901 through 1986, the Peugeot cycling team competed as a top-tier professional cycling team from France. “I’m 60 kilograms right now, the lightest I’ve been since I was a junior – the bike and Zwift provide me a wonderful outlet.” “I get up early and get on the Turbo for an hour it’s great for my state of mind. “I love cycling in Mallorca and the Alps but Zwift is great too, a Godsend, it means you can ride every day whatever the weather. “My wife asks me if I’d like to race but like I said, I have no desire to compete. “I ride the bike most days now and push myself but have no desire to race I’m still in good shape, I rode l’Etape du Tour and finished 140 th out of 11,000. “Yes, I made a little comeback when I turned 40 years-age and made top 10 in the National Criterium Championships and a few other decent results but that was it. “So now I bike fit from the house – not right now, obviously with the Covid-19 situation – and I do coaching, it’s good to be helping people.”Īdrian Timmis loves the Turbo, and Zwift, but nothing beats climbing on quiet roads in the Balearics. “And at least 75% of people have one in their pocket these says. “When folks had to go on the ‘net through the computer at work or get their laptop out and log-in with a password, that was one thing but with a smartphone you just tap a few buttons and you’re able to purchase what you will, 24 hours each day, seven days each week – you don’t even need your wallet. “Folks ask me if it was the internet made me close the shop, I say ‘no’ – it was smartphones. “The shop was good too but it became hard to compete with the big ‘net outfits. “The fact that I was doing effective work spread by word of mouth and it was a good business for a few years. “I had a bike shop until about three years ago I was always someone who was fussy about their position on the bike and before all the current positional gadgetry came in to use I helped riders sort their positions out. “After I quit I drifted in and out of jobs I think many professional riders suffer from similar uncertainties when they stop – you should definitely have a plan for what you’re going to do after you stop.”Īdrian Timmis climbing in his beloved Mallorca. “But I’d been racing for 20 years even though I was only in my early 30’s and had enough. “Yes, I’d been training in Mallorca, I love it there I must have been 20 times over the years but I just couldn’t find motivation to race, when I look back I was suffering from mental health issues. “I went down to Rochester with Johnny Clay and I won it, solo with Chris second, I’d come down from 64 kilos to 61 and felt great – I’m sure the diet change made the difference.” “I was training with Chris Walker ( big sprinting prolific winner of criteriums and road races in the UK, ed.) and we were riding city centre TV criteriums and he said to me ‘ you’re going so well you can win one of these crits.’ “I’d lost weight but hadn’t changed anything else in my diet and was doing the same training. “I cut out all wheat, substituting rice and potatoes and within two to three weeks I was flying. “I’d read somewhere about wheat intolerance and I thought ‘ I’m going to change my diet !’ I didn’t do any tests or anything, just something I thought I would try. “It was a nice little team with Dave Cook and Johnny Clay. “That was probably one of my best seasons and I was actually working part-time, three days each week. “Mountain bike races were different back then, they were longer and would now fall into the ‘Endurance’ category.Īdrian Timmis shows the effects of a hard National Mountainbike Championships. “Again, I mixed my racing up and had some decent road results as well as finishing second overall in the National Mountain Bike Series. “Yes, I mixed my racing up, road and MTB, I rode the Milk Race in a composite time but unfortunately crashed and broke my collarbone.” “That performance gave me a new lease of life.”Ī contract with British Eagle for 1991 though? “I used to train with David Baker the MTB rider, I enjoyed it and he suggested I try a race so I went with him down to a race in Wales, it was part of the National MTB Series and I finished second to Tim Gould. “The Swinnerton family who own the bike shop in Stone-on-Trent helped me with a bike and clothing but I didn’t have a title sponsor. “No, my head was down, I had no motivation and I missed the first pro race of the year.
